Setup & ConnectionYou will require: two coaxial cables or one coaxial cable and one set of audio / visual cables. Connect the incoming signal to the ANT IN jack on the rear of the VCR using a coaxial cable. With the second coaxial cable, then connect the ANT OUT on the VCR to the ANT IN on the television. In place of the second coaxial cable, you may use audio/visual cables to connect the DVD/VCR to the television. You may also use an S-Video cable in place of the yellow visual cableif you prefer, and your television has an S-VIDEO input. S-VIDEO cables will provide a higher quality picture for DVD's, but a coaxial cable must also be used to view VHS tapes. Connect the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player to the AUDIO IN jack(s) on the rear of the television. Then connect the VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to the VIDEO IN on the television, OR connect the S-VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to the S-VIDEO IN on the television. Consult your Owner's Manual for assistance in performing the Channel Set-Up procedure. The diagrams below illustrate connection of a TV and DVD/VCR using a coaxial cable and audio / visual cables. |
