Sylvania's 42" Plasma WVGA-ED Monitor is a widescreen (16:9) plasma display compatible with progressive-scan and high-definition signals.
With its richly vibrant display of over 16 million colors, this plasma display monitor offers incredibly vivid, high-contrast images on a 42 inch, 16:9 aspect-ratio screen—ideal for movies and other ‘movie screen’ formatted programs. It is the perfect addition to any home theater.
Additionally, with extremely wide viewing angles (compared to most LCD screens) and easy placement, thanks to a surprisingly slim profile (less than 5 inches), it is easily incorporated into even the most challenging interior design plan.
To optimize your viewing experience, the monitor is also equipped with stereo speakers, providing exceptional sound quality, and jacks for S-video input, composite video input and audio input/output, allowing you to upgrade picture and sound quality even more.
The monitor’s HD component-video inputs accept full 720p and 1080i HDTV signals from set-top boxes or DTV receivers, which are sold separately.
And like all plasma displays, this monitor is immune to the distortion and negative color balances encountered when using a conventional CRT television near fluorescent lighting or speaker systems.
